Eric M.
Private tutor in Hastings, NE
Education
In 2007, I received my B.S. from Wayne State College in Biology with an emphasis in Molecular Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. My overall GPA was 3.86. I then went on to obtain my Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Medical Center in Omaha NE.
Experience
I have 5+ years experience as being a tutor and love all aspects of science. I enjoy tutoring and watching others put the puzzle pieces together. I teach for others to understand the concepts and not memorize answers. Having tutored many different students from high-school to graduate school, I have learned to gear the tutoring to the individual. I always do my best to promptly follow-up on any questions or concerns of the students. My first year in college I was actually tutoring my peers in some of our intro biology and chemistry courses. Later, I became a peer-tutor for the campus and tutored General Chemistry, General Biology, Biology (for the majors), Physiology, Genetics, Microbiology, Applied Probability and Statistics, Algebra, and General Physics. Even in graduate school I tutored students in the first year courses as well. Additionally, I have even made quizzes for one student who wanted a more real-life approach.
